June Update

I’m always being scolded by someone for not updating this page often enough. Thanks Neely. I am “road weary, battle scarred” and eager for a week of vacation with my family next week. Since I last wrote, I have worshipped with new and old friends from Dunwoody Atlanta at a beach retreat. Woody Does it RIGHT! I’ve made new friends from all over the South at the new M-Fuge / Centrifuge combo camp at Mississippi College. Working with the Fuge folks is always a blast for me. I can’t wait for the next chance I get to worship with the Blue Water Band. Mike, Brandy, Andy, Zack, Chasen and my boy Dave. Big Love! I’ve been working hard (hardly working) in Chicago with some amazingly talented students from Springhill Baptist. They’ve treated me like a part of the group. Thanks for inviting me to your table, Hunter. After the turquoise waters of the Carribbean it’s a couple of weeks at Jonathan Creek on Kentucky lake, a week with FBC Nashville and then a break. Thanks for all the great comments and emails. Keep ‘em coming…they keep me going! Live the Mission!

Peace,
James

Hi James, this is Nichole from Louisiana College. I talked with you and Mr. John Minton while at MC for Centrifuge. I did want to once again tell you that I appreciated you at camp. There were so many things that I had been praying for my youth group this past year at college, that you spoke on and were so passionate about at camp. Could you pray that now, I and my youth leader and other leaders in our youth group can take advantage of the time and the opportunities that God graces us with to disciple the youth.
Oh, and I do love your site. I checked out some of your random curiosities…I do agree that Every Season is a great song…its one of my favorites and any Nichole who spells her name that way is good in my book. And I have always loved the writings of Lewis and Spurgeon. I kind of see their’s and Eldredge’s ideas reflected in you. What do you think of Oswald Chambers, AW Tozer, and Kierkegaard? I’ve come to like them a lot too.

May you never grow tired or accustomed to serving God in a way that makes you complacent. May there never be a moment when you are no longer challenged, when you have been challenged enough. Continue to run.

    That’s all I’ve got.
