August Update

I’m back home again in the Big Easy. Sometimes when I get home Dakota (our pet rabbit) is a little hesitant with me. Small brain = small memory. For some reason this time Dakota ran to me, snuggled with me, jumped around, came back for more attention. It was a sweet welcome home. I had a great time making new friends and seeing old ones at Music in the Rockies in Estes Park, CO. I can’t wait to write with new friend Sue Smith who runs a program called Write About Jesus. It’s a great resource for songwriters. I also heard a great new band I’m sure we will see more of soon. They are called Unsearchable Riches. Watch them float to the surface in the next 12 months. Jeremy is a remarkable writer. Next was a long and exhausting travel day (blast you Delta!) to Ridgecrest, NC for the start of Collegiate Week. I saw Fuge friends, IMB friends, New Orleans friends, Nashville friends…t’was quite a party! I had about 100 students show up for 5 seminars over the weekend. They were all very kind to sit through my rambling about songwriting and worship planning. I caught an early flight home and can finally relax, read, and prepare for a few days. If you’ve stopped in to read this update, take a few extra seconds to send me a “hello.” I would love to know that you ventured by. Hope to see you on the road this Fall.
